FLORIDA SHINES AT 2006 NCFL NATIONALS!

Florida schools and students had a phenomenal year at last weekend's NCFL Nationals.  A results summary is compiled below.  My apologies for any omissions.  Congratulations to:

--The Diocese of Miami, for winning the Terrence Cardinal Cook Award, presented annually to the diocese with the largest number of cumulative trophy points.

--The Diocese of Orlando, for finishing as the 2nd place diocese at this year's nationals.

--Nova High School, for winning the Dr. Paul E. Ward Memorial Trophy for the highest cumulative trophy points in Student Congress.

--Trinity Prep School, for winning an Eleanor Wright Excellence in Debate Trophy (top 5 schools in TD, LD, & Congress), a Daniel S. Masterson Excellence in Forensics Trophy (top 5 schools in all events), and 2nd place in the Ward Memorial Trophy competition (for Student Congress).
